THE NEED

HNS (Help a Needy Student) Program was established in 2003 to provide financial assistance to deserving students of Royal College. Out of the 330,000 students who enter the formal education system in the country annually; approximately 350 students (.001%) attain the highest aggregate marks from the Year 5 Scholarship Examination, and enter Royal College. These students come from diverse social, economic and ethnic backgrounds from all 25 Districts. This scholarship program aims to support such students from such financially challenged backgrounds.

You can donate as a well-wisher, old boy or a parent via several types of categories; as a one-time donation, annual, semi-annual, quarterly or monthly from as low as Rs.500/- onwards.

THE SOLUTION

To uplift the economic standards of bright students who have passed the scholarships with highest marks, and make them well-rounded, socially conscious, responsible, global citizens by assisting them with finances to facilitate their academic performance and extra-curricular activities/co-curricular activities.

THE INSTITUTION

Royal College Union/Trust (RCUT) initiated “Loyalty Pledge”  practices the ethos of giving back what one has received is embodied in the Royal College Union fraternity, who delight in giving their time and resources to their beloved alma mater. They acknowledge that ‘mother’ Royal has given each student so much and it is each Royalist’s duty to give back. The beauty of reciprocity first starts by giving. Royal College nurtures its sons to becoming men of stature, and it is these men who strive to give back in countless measure.
